Half of the New Year traditional summer carnival celebrates the first half of the year. The event draws in a large number of guests for the night long parties on the streets of Korcula. During the week of the celebration the organisers prepare workshops and street performances.

Korčulanske Pjatance – Spring food and wine festival celebrates Dalmatian cousine in both its classic and modern forms. The Korčula chefs present their gastronomic accomplishments through creative menus that show the diversity that this island has to offer together with new season releases from our wine and olive oil producers. All menus are designed especially for this occasion with special value for money prices.   Spring time provides inspiration with abundance of seasonal ingrediants that ripe and are of the best quality at this time of year. During the festival wine makers from Korčula and Pelješac take an opportunity to present their wine set trends for the coming season.

WineRi – International Eno-gastro Festival

IV. WineRi International Eno - Gastro Festival WineRi is the only festival of its kind in the City of Rijeka, a city proclaimed the European Capital of Culture in 2020. This year the festival will be held on March 13 and 14 2020, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm, right by the sea, on the location of the Karolina Riječka Pier, in an exclusive 500m2 large tent and it will exhibit more than 70 manufacturers. For the last three years (since 2017) this Eno - gastro festival has been gathering in one place a respectable number of exhibitors who will offer their products to the tourist market of the City of Rijeka and Kvarner region. The festival is primarily presented by winemakers, but also producers of brandy and liqueurs, prosciutto, dried meat products, cheese, olive oil and chocolate from the Kvarner region, the whole Republic of Croatia and neighboring countries. Each year, the Festival is visited by, among other 50 accredited journalists who write about the festival and Rijeka in Croatia and neighboring countries, 100 accredited caterers, restaurateurs, hoteliers and merchants, and about 1000 visitors. WineRi thus became a reason to come and stay in the city of Rijeka during the pre-season, which is an equally positive experience for businesses of the city of Rijeka as well as the guests of the festival, who during this quieter period can fully enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the city without large tourist crowds.

The centuries-old tradition is still cherished today. There are several legends about bushes. One legend says that with their noise and noise, the bushes drove the Turks out of this region, while according to another legend, the terrible bushes drive the winter. Peter's bush is held in Baranya's Peter's Village, also known as Petarda, hence the name of the event. All four days of the event, large parades were organized walking the village, the carnage was lit, and there were no shortage of gastronomic delicacies.
